Life is hard, it has amazing highs and hard lows, none of us can escape that. What we can do however is choose how we respond. We can choose resilience, confidence, and happiness. We can choose success. That choice is ours and ours only, no one can take that away from us. Ahh, the beautiful power!
But it’s not that simple.
We were not taught that we have these choices. It is something that we have to learn and build on. We were taught how to externally validate and look to others for approval. We were taught our self-worth and value are tied to other's opinions of ourselves. We were taught to work for recognition, approval, to be liked, and to fit in.
High-achievers are programmed to be perfectionists, to be people pleasers, and to do whatever it takes to be "enough."The problem is that this is killing high-achievers mental health, draining their confidence, and clouding their success.
That is where I come in.
